Ciara's Comment to Juan

Juan, I think that your decided Thesis is great and would not be too difficult to write on, but I think you need to narrow it down a bit.  Maybe, you should try to focus on a singular character in regard to the three institutions, because these institutions apply to all the characters of this novel in so many ways.  Also, when you are writing your outline, try to say what you are going to relate to Church, State, and Family.  For example, in On the Road, the State is represented by the police who stop them On the Road and the society's effort to make everyone live the same, stationary lives that the beatniks refuse to adhere to.  I think you could write a great paper on this.
