Juan's Reaction to Alexa's Post on ch 7-8

I can see where Alexa is coming from and why she would be upset at the way Dean acts. He is, in fact, what one would call a player and womanizer. Also, I disagree on the fact that she should be ashamed at having made a comparison between Gatsby and Dean because the way we perceive Dean is through the eyes of Sal, who happens to admire and almost worship Dean. Because of this, it would be understandable for us as readers to perceive him in a similar fashion. I also happen to disagree on the idea that all men are the way Dean is because that is not true. One cannot make a sweeping generalization such as that one. Finally, I agree on the point that Sal does need to become more independent of Dean, and I would like to see him be himself.
